Talking Trying to stretch it out one more week..

If I'm lucky and the weather holds out (more to do with issues that need attention at home) I will at least meet.... OR go one day over last years camping days!

Pushing now to not come home till at least next Tuesday. If I can stretch it out one more day then we will beat last years count by one day.

Loving the weather right now. Temps are amazing. AND the best thing is that we are sitting here with FULL hookup and well.... I'm almost ashamed to say what this is going to cost us. OH ok You dragged it out of me..... $16.00 a week!

Have fun everyone! Gotta run to get some groceries. Will be home next week.

I wouldn't mind finding out where you can camp for $16 a week for hookups. Where I'm going it's $60 per night.

I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you. LOL

No seriously, we have a friend that has a small (7 sites) private campgrounds on an absolutely beautiful hill top with amazing views that he only wants to be paid back what the cost of the electric we use!

With the rates it is going to average that. Could be a bit more.... or maybe less.

He has been trying to get us to come up there for the last couple years so we finally made it. But looks like we will be coming home next week, winterizing and calling it quits for a few months. Dang I dred it.

Hey Skeeter, I was just thinking about you a few days ago.
We spent our last weekend at Red River Gorge in Daniel Boone Nat. Forest.
It's an easy 120 miles from us and interstate all the way.
We had awesome weather and still had colorful leaves on about 1/3 of the
trees so scenery was pretty neat too.
I winterized last week but hated to do it!

I guess the Cumberland Gap camp ground is closed for electrification??

FYI if you use a 1600 watt heater and left it on 24 hours a day for 7 days
and the electric rate was 10˘ per Kilowatt hour it would add up to about
$28 per week.
You aren't going to use anywhere near that much so $16 sounds pretty fair.

Are you going to camp host at Cumberland Gap in the future???

Hiya DAN!!!

FYI... not for electrification...... redoing septic system. I'd give anything if they were adding more electric sites.... but that looks like it isn't going to happen in the near future.

Camp hosting for me there is done for. (Long story)
