TT Came Without Ladder

I have a 2018 Catalina Legacy Edition 263RLS that came with no ladder.
I heard the reason there is no ladder is because the manufacture doesn't want you to walk on RV roof due to roof not strong enough to support the weight.

I bought a telescopic ladder and was going to go on the roof and add a Fan-Tastic Vent.

Any advise?

If you go to the Coachman RV site and look at the features for the Catalina line, it clearly states "3/8” Fully decked walk-on roof" as one of the features.

I'd say you're safe getting up there to add a vent.

I've walked on the roof of my Catalina many times doing maintenance and upgrades. That is including washing it twice a year as recommended in the manual.
Limit your jumping around and parties up there and you will be ok!

Our trailer has a full walk on roof and no ladder. The MFG didn't build one on it and we can't get one put on as the back wall cannot have one because of the way it was designed. Call and have it checked out as maybe one can be put on for you.

I have an 18 Catalina. They may call it a walk in roof but it is flimsy. When I get up there I only step on top of supports.

We have never owned a TT that came with a factory ladder, but as long as you take care you should be able to walk on the roof.

Our Heritage Glen originally did not have a ladder. But the dealer did install one since it is an option when ordering new..
