TT Storage Options?

Okay- I know of the traditional "storage facility" (fenced off, gated, boats, trailers, TT,etc.- usually located locally) I have a buddy whose boat is stored in one of these, I also noticed TT'2. About $125-150/mo. Obviously I can't store at the homestead.

Q? What are cheaper storage options others have used and liked?

Thanks;

Dutch

Conventional storage runs 100+ around here, especially if it's fenced, has 24-hr security or log-in cameras/security.

The park & pray (nobody messes with it) lots, or lots with daytime-only access run 55-80/month here.

I actually lucked out and found a private/regional airport down the street that lets me park there for $50.00/month.

It's outside storage, but someoones always there, the police and government guys are stoping in regularly to get fuel & if someone is going to steal something ...... private jets & personal aircraft are are probably going to be the first victims.

Best part is ... it's 30 seconds from my house and they have no problem if you come out and do repairs on the units there, since there are all kinda peeps doing repairs on planes anyways.

Spoke with my 84 year old neighbor who owns an AirStream- same one since 1979. He says, $3.00/ft. I bet that's a "park and pray."

What about someone with acreage- a bigger lot willing to let me park it there and say $75/mo? Random stranger type? Would my insurance cover damage to my TT on their property?

I park at a new storage site 1 mile from the house. Gated, security lights and cameras. My spot is covered and 30 amp electricity provided for $75 a month.

I park mine in a fenced-in lot a few miles from my house for $43/mo. No electric, no water, no repairs allowed. I have looked at a lot of alternatives, but all better options are too far from where I live and camp to make any sense. Also, in my area inside storage facilities have waiting lists because there aren't many of them available.

Our County fairgrounds (Van Wert, Ohio) has a flat fee of $125 for the season-Nov. 1- April 15. This is for a 20' length. My 30 ' 5th wheel is an extra $50. ($5 for each 1 foot over 20) This is inside a locked pole barn with a concrete floor. You can get it out during the winter and have access to it if you call ahead. This seems like a good deal.

We've got a 50' X 11' pull-thru lot at a fenced in storage yard that takes anything from boats, RVs, construction equip. etc. Fees are $45/mon. No electricity, but fees include unlimited use of an onsight dump station. Yard is secure with gated entrance and requires PIN ID number. Access times are daily from 7am to 11 pm. The local police dept drive thru almost nightly as part of their routine surveillance.

Also, there is a RV repair shop located at the entrance. Just call them ahead of time and inform what lot# is yours and they will retrieve your RV, fix, and return it to the lot without you even being there.

If you happen to be retired military and close to a base, they have storage that is normally considerably cheaper. But ya gotta be retired (or active duty).

Call your agent.

"Where was it parked" was the first question they asked me when the unit took some wind damage.
