TT with 1 door
Why do most larger TT's have 2 doors instead on 1??? 30 ft. 5er's have one door, Motor coaches have one door. Is it a federal reg or what?
I have a Rockwood Signature 8315 and would like a large window instead of a door at the bedroom. We've never used the door other than to have it open for a vent.

Our 30 ft TT has but one door but then if there were another there would be no room for our relatively gargantuan potty and that 'to die for' outdoor kitchen. We're ok with one door.

I've owned 3 TT's and all had one door. I''m sure it's handy for some people, but I just think it eats up space in the TT. Might not be such a big deal in muti slide TT's though.

Agreed! But then again, we have the same TT! Comes down to personal preference preferences a what floorplan you choose to buy.

We love our Puma 25RS with two doors. If we have someone sleeping in the back area I don't have to go out that way to walk the dog. Plus, I use it too offload the laundry when I get home and load up things. The main reason we love it is because it makes an extra exit in case of fire.

It is just a matter of personal preference, like other floor plan features, but our assessment is exactly the same as Mark and Linda's.

Required by code in longer trailers and some shorter floorplans due to evacuation requirements in a fire.
I believe if the kitchen is between the bedroom and a door you need another escape route (normally a door - in my 5th wheel it is a window that only an Olympian Gymnast can use).

Mine has 2 doors and 2 emergency windows. Doors front and back, windows front, bedroom, and at the dinette opposite the kitchen.

When we were shopping for our latest trailer, we specifically looked for one that had one door. The 2nd door took up floor and wall space. If in the event of a fire, I'd get out somehow. Have the Flagstaff 30WRLTS VLite.

Our 22 foot sunline had two doors, our 25 foot flagstaf has 1. I think it is just how floor plans are laid out. On the sunline one door opened into the kitchen area, the other the bedroom. We hardly ever used the door in the bedroom.

After seeing the post I would say I'm not alone in not needing a second door it cost more than a nice window that opens. As too emergency exits there are more than enough with the popout window that is currently in the bedroom and by the sofa plus 2 doors. The TT is only 30 ft. and no one rides in the TT while going down the road.
FR could save on manufacturing cost and make me happy. I'll look for a one door TT on the next one... In about 10 years!

Well i will go the other way. I (especially DW) love the second door in put trailer as it leads straight to the bathroom. Therefore kids with dirty feet and visitors can go without tracking through the trailer. It was actually on our list of wants, mainly for the kids plus we spend most of our time outside so easy bath entrance for us too
