I would suggest you get a weather radio ... and forget the TV. I use mine constantly during our late summer/fall excursions ... and it is a wonderfull tool.

You've got the antenna booster on?

It's not unusual to be unable to get any TV stations unless you're parked in a open field near an urban area. If you really want TV reception, you're better off with a satelite set-up.

We're fortunate enough to have wether band on our entertainment unit.

And unless you have a big open space near your camp site--that satellite will give you fits!

First, make sure the antenna boost is on. It should be a small button that lights up normally located next to one of your cable outlets inside your trailer.

How old is your television? If it is not a digital television, you will not be able to catch over the air stations, as they are or should be broadcasting only digital signals.

And you will have to rotate the antenna toward the nearest broadcast antenna/strongest signal. If you have a digital TV there should be a signal strength meter built into it, the more bars the stronger the signal. It's probably in the setup menu somewhere. Also, adding a 'Wingman' will help pick up some stations. It took me longer to climb up on the roof than it did to snap it on the antenna.
