Tv power connection

Hello- i am a sinhle woman rving in FL . Suddenly my tv went off! Upon closer inspection i believe it is the power source which is a cigarette lighter type. Has anyone else had this happen & what does one do? Ive taken the plug out hoping that the metal would expand enough to make a connection but no luck so far. Thx!

First thing to check is the fuse. Do you know where they are?

What RV do you have? Do you have lights in the RV? Do you know if you have power to the cigarette socket?

If the answer to the 2nd and 3rd question is yes, then you may have the fuse blown in the tv power cord. The plug may have a knurled knob surrounding the pin sticking out from the end. Inside that knob will be a fuse for the tv.

The red part on pic 1, silver part on pic 2.

Are you saying that the wall cover for the TV amplifier also has a cig lighter plug. Does the light ( red or green) come on when you press the small red button?
If not, check fuses. If it is a newer unit, there should be a small red led lit next to any fuse that is not working.
