USA Sticker map

So me and the wife have been talkin about getting the sticker map and coloring in the states we have been to. Well she ordered one from amazon and it looks pretty good. My question is what do most people fill in, the states they have camped in or traveled through. We have traveled the whole east coast except Maine which we plan on doing next season but we have only camped in i think 9 diffrent states so far. Also where do you put yours. I think i am putting under the kitchen window of our 312qbud. Thanks for the input.

You've opened up another great debate subject. You'll be getting all kinds of answers.

I'll be getting out the popcorn!

Camped in. OR "really really close to"......like, if you camp in Pahrump NV and go visit Death Valley from there, you get to claim California cause you don't really want to ever truly go camping there anyway.

Make your own rule.

Ours is any state we towed in. So in bandjcarm example above, I would not be coloring/stickering in California unless we actually towed the camper into the state.

Next question, when you go to your next camper, will the new map be just for the current camper or all your travels?

I agree with making your own rule. Perhaps both...a different marking for camping and travel? Removable sticker in case you eventually camp in a state you travels in?

Exciting!

Since it's on our trailer that we camp in, we only put states we've camped overnight in.
If it as for states we just traveled in, we'd be putting the stickers on the car.

I know that was tongue in cheek, but I think you got that backwards... I don't think many would want to camp in Pahrump, NV and Death Valley is a great place to camp, just not during the summer...

Oh yeah, and to the OP, I agree with others, make your own rules and stick to them.

Never did understand the "importance" of learning all the state capitols. Years of going cross-country for concerts taught far more about where the venues, stadiums, arenas are, and where to find really really good food.

"Who ARE The Grateful Dead, and why do they keep following us ???"

As to coloring the map ... "way back" the folks did a map with states they visited pre-kids in one "pale" colour and then did the bright multi-colour thing as they dragged us all over the place. Not a "rule" for others, but it worked for them ....

Stickers

Our son bought us a USA sticker map and we decided to put state stickers on places we camped. This could take a long time...

We have to spend the night in a state for it to go on the map. Even a quick overnight at a truck stop counts.
