What does it mean?

When I look for new messages...they all look the same can't find which post is new and old


Picture two ... What does the gold star mean on the right hand side?

I have trouble getting around this site.

That can mean a few things. Number of post in threads you have subscribed to. Or a private message has been sent to you.

The FR app auto subscribes you to thread you post in.

The star when "clicked" subscribes you to that thread.
Anytime someone posts on that thread you will get a notification if you have your notifications set so.
