Vibe vs Salem

So before ordering my Vibe (yet to receive it) I spent some time looking at the Salem. It appears they are almost the same in price, however, Contruction tends to lean heavily in the Vibes favor. The Salem is a wood constructed aluminum skinned unit lacking many of the features of the Vibe. Does anyone know why they are priced so close? Do some people prefer the Wood structure under aluminum to a Aluminum/fiberglass unit? Also, the Salem does not appear to have an enclosed heated belly unlike the Vibe which does.

Interestingly, their floor plans are very similar.

Btw, I'm new to the Travel trailer life so I a, trying to educate myself as much as possible.

We were in the same situation looking at the salem an vibe but we went with the vibe 312bhs. It was the look an feel when in an around it that did it for us. Also this is our 1st TT. Pick it up on Thursday.

You're lucky that you get to pick yours up. I am waiting for mine to be built and delivered to me 1250 miles away. So, I'm going to pick your brain. Since you were in the same boat (rv) situation as me, what specifically drew you to the Vibe other than The great looks, fiberglass, and aluminum structure? I never actually got to see a Vibe in person....

Also, where did you buy yours from? Mind sharing your drive out price? If not, it's understandable.

We almost got the 312BHS but we were really drawn to the second bathroom entry and the tub (instead of shower) since we have a messy teenager and a 1.1yr old baby girl who gets a nightly Bath. I really liked the opposing slides on the 312 though.

We bought ours at Autorama RV in Des Moines, IA internet price was 28K. With the 312 it was all the counter space that drew my wife towards it but I really like the aero front look of the vibe with the hidden LP tanks. electric tongue an stabilizer jacks. Big plus for us was the real doors instead of pocket doors on the inside. I'm sure ill find more reasons when we finally take it out over the 4th. We also have 2 kids 15y/o an 5y/o.

I was also looking at a Salem, didnt look at any Vibe's tho. What drew me away from the salem was the feel of the construction and not having a enclosed belly.
We went with a Avenger it had everything we were looking for in a cheaper unit. Around 20 out the door with hitch
