LOL, how's that saying go?

Hate when ya gotta 'splain 'em.

It's a gas or diesel guzzling HUGE MH pulling an electric car for a toad (on a trailer no less).

Thanks for (ex) splaining (Lucy) . I've seen a lot of rigs on the road like this and couldn't tell what the oxymoron was. MY Bad.

I have been wondering how campgrounds will start dealing with electric vehicles. Will campgrounds start charging a surcharge for electric car owners? Maybe they already do with golf carts. I sure hope campground don’t have to install meters at each site. That would be a large expense which would surely be passed on to every camper, eclectic car or not.
I like campgrounds simple and cheap,

If he towed it all 4 down and in gear wouldn't he get a free charge?

I'm all for vehicles that use little (or no) gas. I have a Prius and love it. But I'll bet he'll have to pay something extra (whether metered or flat fee) if he plugs in a motorhome AND a car at the campsite.

I wouldn't be surprised if campgrounds that attract big rigs eventually put centralized charging stations near the office so folks could take turns recharging their cars.

We recently stopped at Fort Beale RV park in Kingman AZ. While my wife was registering I happened to note a "comment" on their comment book. A Tesla owner was complaining that the park would not allow him to charge his Tesla while he was there. The ironic part is that there was a Tesla charging station with multiple charger pedestals directly across the street from the RV park. I guess that he couldn't afford to charge his $70,000 Tesla over there.

My Dad traded in a fully loaded Cadillac crossover (can't remember what they're called) for a 2 year lease on a Volt. His lease is up this September. While he's enjoyed filling it up once since he's owned it, he misses his Caddy. So he'll be going back to some type of chariot from Cadillac. It costs something like $60Kish to build one, dealers retail them for $45Kish. That's why they push a lease.
