DW=Dear Wife.

If it is a crazy tight space, I call her on speakerphone and she lets me know if I get too close to trees or other objects. Otherwise we just park and she takes the dogs for a walk. Commercial drivers licence actually did pay off!

And yes... she just smacked me and reminded me that she drives the rig also and her name is Liz

You would think I would know better than remarks like that by now

The most important thing I have at home or on the road is my wife.

Have these:
Robot Check

Had for a few years, work well and have weather alert which is nice for when in the storm country. Cost a bit more but you do get what you pay for.

Does anyone with this brand of WT know of a time out setting? I haven't found any in the manuals or playing around with them. They should work even with less than full charge, but they don't seem to respond consistently. I may try new batteries just to see. So, having said that, perhaps the Cobras might be better?

I think for safety sake, it is a good idea to have communication devices like this. That's why we have them. We can't depend on our cells for that.

Try taking the code off the channel. I found that sometimes when the channel is digitally coded it will not open the other radio all the time. It is good, but not perfect.
