warranty work

I'm looking for some clarity on repairs under warranty:
If I bought my 5er in another state can a dealer near my home do warranty work?
Thanks,
Mike

Can they = yes

I have heard (RUMOR) that if the unit was not purchased through them that it goes to the end of the line behind there customers.

Not sure if thats true or not but looks to me like if they treat you the same they would be gaining a new customer for the future.

Mike

Its just like car warranty work - they get paid a lesser rate by the factory than if you were actually paying for work. So yeah suspect they would take paying customers first if they are busy and you wait. Getting them to do other work that you are paying for might speed up repair. We all like to save $ on initial purchase - but need to also consider convience and reputation for service too.

Allow me to answer that for you.

NO!

See my post in wolfpack toyhaulers. According to a sales rep from forest river they do not have to do any work on a trailer not purchased at that dealership. If you need further clarification contact Becky the warranty rep at forest river

bmiller@forestriverinc.com

Tell her Gary sent you! Then ask for clarification in writing!

We had our fridge fixed for the recall and a leak fixed at a dealer we did not buy from. They treated us very well, did not charge anything (shouldn't have anyway) and all is well. We were holding our breath for fear we'd have some trouble. We had none. Good folks. Nice people.
