Washer/Dryer Vibration-5th Wheel Tripod Stabilizer

We have a washer/dryer combo in the front cap bedroom closet of our 2014 Silverback 33RL......It creates quite a bit of vibration during part of it's cycling which in turns shakes the entire RV....Would adding a 5th wheel tripod help with this issue.....looking for opinions from those who've experienced this or who have the tripod under their 5th wheel....Is it worth the price.....Thanks , in advance, for your comments.

Ahhh yes....looking for a way out of the freebie "vibrating bed" addition to your coach are you?

The tripod probably will not help - we had similar issues with our coach (and we have a 4 point auto-leveling system). We had vibration as well!

A couple of things to check: Believe it or not, it is a common gaff for the techs to leave the shipping bolts in the washer! This was not our case, but something you may want to check - even though your unit is a couple years old.

Have a tech take a look and make sure your unit is not out of balance - in load balance - but make sure the drum is in balance and that all the counterweights are functioning properly. This was the BIG issue with our (new) Whirlpool.

Finally, when the washer is reinstalled in your unit, have the techs put in isolation dampeners (essentially they are big heavy-duty rubber washers) and a splash pan underneath the washer.

The dampeners will greatly mitigate the vibrations, since your washer is not now directly attached to the frame of your unit. The difference is amazing!

Thanks, BamaBob, for your suggestions.....I have now talked with a tech at Splendide and was advised to get it off carpet which it happens to be sitting on.....this, he says, is the major problem with their newer machines when there's a vibration issue.....he suggested that I also add a piece of 5/8 or 3/4 plywood to my subfloor because it's most likely sitting on something thin in that front cap.

We added the Steadyfast system to our fiver and now we only feel the final spin if the load is not balanced.

In my Wildcat the Splendide shakes the whole RV on the spin mode. When we are in our Park model the washer also shakes place. My take of it is there will be some shaking but how much can you minimize it.

In our Cedar Creek we just installed a washer/dryer and it does shake some on spin cycle. DW holds the washer occasionally in the spin cycle. I thought it was just ours because we didn't install the locks on the feet that keeps the unit from moving. But I didn't want to screw screws into the floor that the unit sits on, the washer sits on top of the furnace

Ours is being repaired under Warranty for shaking while in spin cycle. Supposedly, the Whirlpool tech said to re-install the washer with "vibration isolators" (I think this is a fancy term for thick rubber washers )

Repairs take place on Tuesday - will report results then.
