Washing you RV at state park
New to the forum. Been RV'ing a couple of years. We store our 5er at a marina storage area on our favorite lake where there's no electricity or water. What are thoughts or protocol for washing your RV while set up at a state park? It's an Army CoE location. We'll there in a couple of weeks with our grandson and I'd like to at least spray off the dust while we're there.
Thanks for any input.

You might want to give them a call and get the answer directly from them.

A lot of state parks are on well water, some with high mineral content. You may be putting more junk on the RV than you are trying to wash off.

I've never seen any state park out West, that allows it.
COE campgrounds are federal, not state though.

Generally vehicle washing is a big no no. Some private parks may allow it.

State parks in Indiana specifically prohibit it. It's in the rules brochure you get when checking in.

The private parks we've stayed in that do allow it charge - I believe the going rate has been about $10. Or, there are mobile services but if memory serves me correctly they charge "by the foot" based on your trailer length. I believe the one I checked with once was about $10 per foot-length of your trailer. Pretty expensive.

I would try to find a place to hose it down before going. Perhaps at home when you load it?

As I said before-- calling them is the absolute best way to find out for sure whether you can or can't! Nothing lost and possibly a surprise answer. Cleaning it up at home is a sure thing!!!

As others have said, you'll need to call the park, every park has their own rules.
But, as additional food for thought, do you even have water at this park you're asking about? Every State or Provincial park I've been in require you to fill up your tank on the way in, and only have electric at the site. I know there are some out there with hookups, but none that I've stayed in.
The full service parks like KOAs, Jellystones, etc. have all also prohibited it because you tend to be packed in too close to your neighbours, or they're worried about the soap affecting their manicured grass, etc...
Alternatively, there was a vendor at the FROG rally in Goshen every year that sells a 'waterless' wash kit for RVs. Never bought one, but basically it looks like a big swiffer on an extendable pole.
Alternative Alternatively, from what I've seen on these forums, there's a place called blue something that's a truck wash they take their rigs to.
Edit: Ok, just searched for it, it's called Blue Beacon.

Stop in at a coin operated car wash that has an outdoor bay and use their high pressure wash to removed the dirt. You may have to move forward to get the rear of your trailer. 10 minutes and you are done.

I've never had a problem at state or fed parks in Ar. Kaadk, just curious, where do you camp? All state and COE parks in Arkansas have water and electric at each site.

I do not recommend using a high pressure wash unless you are experienced with one as they can easily lift caulk and decals.

State Parks in Ohio prohibit washing or doing maintenance on Trailers, Motorhomes, or Tow vehicles. I have a BIG DRIVEWAY and a pressure washer I am skilled in using.

You can wait for a rain storm and wash away. I just did that, pouring rain! Nice soft rinse.
