If I do get back in the "tote" business it will be a tank I can put in the bed of my pickup and I'll use a mascerator pump to transfer from my trailer holding tank and when I get to dump station just let gravity do it's job.

I'll handle it this way as well.....

I did some research on totes an bought the Rhino 28 gallon one. I liked that it came with everything (including the hitch adaptor), has a built in rinse port, fill is easy and to empty is very easy.

I bought the 28G, despite all my tanks being 30 or 35g, as the 28G is manageable when full. It's heavy, but not 38G heavy. I could walk it to the pump out station, but I'm lazy and use the TV.

We are seasonal with pump-out every two weeks for black and every one week for grey. We do not typically fill our black or grey tanks, except when we have family up for the weekend. I bought the tote for those times and also, after pump out, to rinse the tank and keep it clean/fresher than just pumping it out every two weeks.

It tows good behind a TV at 5 mph or so. Our camp ground uses large stone for the roads, so it is very bumpy and the tote handles it easily, if noisy.

The included attachments all work and make life very easy.

The only con that I have seen, but haven't experienced yet it the caps on the axle that hold the wheels, can come off. Then you have a poo'plosion behind your TV as it skids to a stop. Since they are just simple friction fit, they can come loose when the tote is full. You can drill a simple 1/8" hole and use a cotter pin to secure them. On the 2020 model, they updated this and made some changes to the tote over-all.

But, I've towed it from our site full to the dump station and back half dozen times with no issues. It's roughly 3/4 mile to the dump station over the gravel.

I bought the 28G from Amazon for $142 with an instant coupon and free shipping. I had it the next day I ordered it.

Thanks for the review. Very helpful. Are you saying the new models have the cotter pin or something similar securing the hubs? I also saw youtube video about how to fix that just as you described.

I'm not sure. I haven't seen the new version in the flesh.

Tote Tanks

You can see in the orange box on the website, the wheels are different. Look to be rubber over molded plastic with a different axle/flange/securing method. The version I have is just molded plastic with washer and "top hat."
