200 dollars seems like a lot of money until I realized that it was cheaper than my insurance deductible . It will also work at fuel locations and any other overhead hazard
such as trees and overpasses. One disadvantage is that you must be travelling under 30 mph for proper operations. Ill post after I install and test it out.

Man sorry about that. Hope the repairs go smoothly. It's definitely not something I thought very much about in our old TT. But with the new 5'r. I'm always trying to keep mindful to low objects. Forest river list it at 13'4". Glad no one was hurt.

Well, the day has arrived.....it's been 4 weeks....the repairs have ben completed according to our dealer and we have about a 2 hour drive to go get the Silverback......hopefully all will look okay....new roof and refinish of the front cap.....they're waiting for our approval this morning before they put on the new decals.

DW and I will bring it home and begin that repacking process.....we leave out Wednesday for the Branson Rally....Everyone wish us luck.....AND REMEMBER.....LOOK UP!!!!!!.....you don't want this happening to you.

My understanding is that this system attaches to the truck and measures the vertical height clearance at that point. Good luck getting stopped at 30mph if the sensor goes off! You'll have, what, 20' to stop before hitting the FW? I think this is more for easing up to an object of unknown height and verifying clearance. I could be wrong about how it operates- just recalling vaguely from, I think, a Trailer Life article.

As stated earlier today, we picked up the Silverback from the dealer after some needed repairs. New roof looks good but the front cap paint color is not right and will get repainted. Dealer had informed us they has made a mistake on the color and are willing to make it right and redo it....they were wanting us to see it first....finish looks great , just wrong color. ...we did bring it home though and will make the Branson Rally next week...it then gets returned to the dealer June 2 for the repaint and all front decals....expenses on our part are now being figured in and will be discounted at settlement....they are a very good dealer when it comes to customer service.
