Water Filter

Hello,

New to this site as i just bought a 2015 rockwood Roo 233s last end of summer
love the camper has everything i need and then some, what I found funny is they put the water filter in a screwed in cabinet, what i like to know would it be a better idea to just bypass the filter and just use the outside kind, im afaid of the condensation that will form in there.

Has anyone done this yet ?

I have an extra whole house filter that I was going setup for our TT outside like what you have pictured. Problem I'm having is find the plumbing fitting to go from what I believe is 3/4 NPT to the garden hose fittings. Didn't see anything at Lowes that would work..

Do a search in the forums here...there is enough discussion on the topic to make your head spin....tons and tons of posts of people who have removed the filter, and of people who have has serious damage caused by leaking filters. If it's outside, no damage gets done!

I found some at a hardware store. Pretty common I think just not at the big box stores.

Not sure what you mean when you say there is condensation? Never had a problem with my internal water filter, start of each camping season I check the plumbers tape on the connections, make sure everything is tight. I guess with the picture above it would add a couple of minutes to the set up time as they are easily avail connectors. This is the first I have heard of water problems from the city connection.
