Water hose HELP

First time living in our travel trailer! We have a Cherokee 274RK

For the Fresh Water Hose do you recommend using the lighter expandable hoses that are on the market or the standard rigid white hoses?

Thanks much

The expandable hoses aren't rated for drinking water.
I'm no water snob but I'd never use one of them for drinking water.
I use one for supplying the black tank flush.

I recommend the standard white hose for drinking water, you can get them at Lowes or Home Depot or Walmart cheaper then Camping World. Just my $.02.

White marine hose as well for drinking. Standard water hose to flush the black tank.

I have started using the Zero G hose this season. So far I really like it.

I agree with others, the white hose is drinking water safe.

We use the white hose as well. but I'm in my 60"s and drank out of a regular garden hose all of my life and I'm still alive! Must be lucky.

Blue Too

There are some blue water hoses out there rated for drinking water and they are easier to maintain as far as getting dirty on the outside. And, there is now a drinking water approved hose that appears to be at least partially collapsible I've seen (but not tried yet) - https://tinyurl.com/yblhzw4o

We also use the Zero G hoses. They are safe for drinking water. They aren't the shrinking pocket hoses, they deflate flat when empty and are a lot easier to store.

Right there with you!!! Mowed neighbors lawns for a couple of bucks, grabbed a long drink from a water hose (after letting it run a while to get cooler) then off to the next neighbor pushing my lawn mower and carrying a can of gas that had no type of safety mechanism on it whatsoever.

And I won't even get into riding on the tailgate of a pickup with legs dangling off of it.

It's a wonder we survived.

Its one thing taking a quick drink. Its another when using it for all your water for days to years on end.

While I drank from a garden hose as a kid, to me I still don't want one hooked up to my RV. I'd rather not have that distinct plastic taste. 😄
