Water Leak

Good morning all,
Looking for some help on a roof water leak in a 2013 Salem QBSS.
In the back bedroom I found the 12V ceiling light fixture filled with water after a rain storm. There was no other evidence of water anywhere inside. On the roof I could only find a small tear in the outer skin of the rubber roof. Same was located close to the gutter, about 2' away from where the light fixture is mounted. Obviously the roof is bowed, but once the water breaches that outer skin can it find a level path below the skin to that light?
Sorry for long message, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Rich

Water could definitely find its way there. The roof is bowed using styrofoam and/or trusses. The water enters, runs along until it finds an open joint, then heads down inside.

Ok thank you!! This leak has been tricky to track. Your explanation makes sense.

Thanks
