Water Pump Wiring

I am replacing the water pump and need to know the wiring. There is a black wire that I remember cutting, but the pump has a red wire and then the trailer has a white wire. I don't know what goes where. Any help at all would be welcome. Thank you.

It's not clear what color is where. What colors are the pump's wires, and what colors are the trailer wires?

Turn the switch on one wire will be 12 volts to ground the other 0 the 12 volt is + the pump label should have the wire that is +

The pump is 12v so in the real world black is ground and red would be power.

White seems to be the color used as ground and red is hot in FW and TT.

Using a volt meter check the black for power with the pump switch on.

x2 : time to turn the power on and get out a voltmeter. Just cannot seem to count on a color to mean the same thing anymore.
