Water Pur Filter Location
I have a 2016 Cherokee 304BS. I was talking to a fellow camper this weekend that has a FR hybrid. He said all FR campers have a water filer somewhere inside. I always use a screw on outdoor one, not aware of any other one inside. Checked my owners manual and toward the back they mention a Water Pur brand filter. The way it was worded I couldn't tell if one was in there or they were simply suggesting one. I figured if it was in the trailer it would be by the pump. Checked out the compartment where the pump is and saw a shureflo pump and a little canister with a strainer in it. Canister is the size of a spool of sewing thread, pretty sure it's not a filter. Does anyone know if FR installs these filters, or where they would be if one is there?
Thanks.

My Coachmen did not come with one, I am glad for that.
Saved me the trouble of pulling it out and trashing it......

The other guy is misinformed. My unit did not come with a water filter.

Just returned from two weeks on the Blue Ridge Parkway and found about a jigger full of black sand in the PUR water filter. Can't believe we would have been drinking all that stuff if we hadn't had a filter. I have no clue which CG donated this stuff.

I took out mine because it was one of the horror stories. It is an "option" package that most that most FR's have.

I checked top to bottom - I don't think i actually have one. I hope i'm right! I don't want one, I use the one that screws onto the hose. It's cheap, and easy to toss in the trash after the season. I called FR with my VIN #, and they don't even know if its there or where it would be. How is that possible. They don't know whats in their own trailers??? I had the same issue with the roof. Wanted to know if I have TPO or EPDM, they have no idea - truly amazing to me.

Besides some one who has your model chiming in...mine was hidden behind one of those screwed down panels in the rear compartment.

Thanks for the info on that. My model seems to be a less popular one. Haven't come across many people here or in general that have it.

My ROO is on the way back from Indiana after the factory replaced the floor. The filter broke and flooded my trailer for about 10 hours while I was away. Luckily I had insurance because it would have cost me a bundle! No one seems to want to replace the floor except the factory. I have to say they were real helpful getting it repaired.

Yes, I do use a Camco inline filter for the hose. In my last trailer I didnt and after awhile the entire system had a sulphur/onion smell. This inline filter for the $17 that it was is worth every penny. Turns out my unit does not have one built in, which i am happy about. Seems like they are more trouble that they are worth. If I found one i would have removed it anyway.
