Thumbs up We got 'er home.

Whew! Tom and I did some RV'ing back in the late 1990's. I had forgotten a LOT of what I knew and learned a lot in about an hour after picking up our NEW 2012 FR Grey Wolf 26RL.
I want to thank ALL the folks who blazed the trail for purchasing and picking up a new TT. I know we saved a lot of money and didn't make some serious mistakes because of the wonderful advice and shared information on this forum.
We picked up the TT in Lowell, AR from Camping World. Those folks REALLY want to sell you a new coach. They worked very hard for the deal and then the PDI went smoothly (we were armed with the PDI pickup check list downloaded from here) and all of our questions were answered.
The ride home was the challenge. I hadn't towed from a 157" WB before and the next over 30' of trailer was a little daunting at first. Fortunately, we had scheduled the PDI at 10 am due to the heat, over 100 degrees, so we were on the road by 2 pm. Although it was very hot, our tow vehicle is the new 2012 F-150 4 x 4 with ecoboost was fabulous and had LOTS Of cold A/C. We took 412 out of Springdale and after we got up on the highway, it was a dream to drive and the Wolf just trotted along behind with no problems. The next challenge was getting up our 1/4 mile 17 degree gravel road hill! Dropped the Ford into low 4 x 4, set the tow/haul button and pull the electronic rear axle lock for the positraction. Put it in DRIVE and it did just that! Up the hill we went. Turning over 50' of truck and trailer into the drive was next to tackle, but after cutting back a few overhanging limbs from a big oak and doing some careful manuvering,we got 'er HOME! Wolf is set up in the drive for now, until we can fix up his finally parking space. As we will be living in the TT nearly year round, it will take some time to tweak out all the things we want to do so we can travel with it as well.
I will post some pics and will be glad to answer any questions about this TT should anyone be in the market.
Thanks again to the Forum and the wonderful help we received in getting our new home.
