We lost our best Camping buddy ever

Just to let our Forest River family know we lost our beloved camping buddy. ARCHIE crossed that rainbow bridge Friday morning. He will be missed dearly, but we and him were lucky, he passed in his sleep after he collapsed at home. I only say this is because anyone that knows us, they also would have known ARCHIE, he was always with us for over 15 years at all the rally’s we attended, it is with a heavy heart I write this.Click image for larger version

We feel your sorrow and our wishes to help you get through.

We lost our previous camping friend a while back too. Today we travel and make memories with our newest family member.

Just know that Archie is having a great time with lots of other experienced family members from the camping community.

So sorry to hear. Having met him, I know the feeling. We lost Stanly this past January right after we got to Alabama. Took a while, but we did a rescue this August. A used and abused terrier. Best move and he is totally different now then when we got him. Hang in there. I know it hurts deep in the heart but maybe one day there will be a rescue in your house. Your friend, Bob

Glenn and Linda,

Yvonne and I feel your pain over the loss of a beloved family pet. We've lost three wonderful dogs over the years, and thought we would never get another, but then Sophie cam into our lives. She didn't replace Fergie, Tasha or Maggie, but she is a special little dog that we have now had for ten years.

Our best wishes for peace for you both. You know that Archie is at peace.

So sorry for your loss. Even though we never met I know how man's best friend becomes a family member and the loss is just as painful...

Tears for you and Archie. Our four-legged family members are loved while here and missed when gone.

Glen, soo sorry for your loss. Did not know how much a camping buddy they could be until we rescued Pepper. Today is Pepper’s fifth Birthday, we have had her 4.5 years. Pepper like Archie has provided us many hours of joy and comfort. Just be thankful for his companionship over the years knowing he will be forever in your heart and memories. Dave, Lynda and Pepper.

I am so sorry for your loss, but he will live on in your heart. I have days where something will make me think of my babies that have left and makes me smile.

I am so sorry that you lost your camping buddy. There's nothing like the friendship and companionship of a dog.

Sorry

It's tough losing a pet. Especially a good one. We've lost several at this point. Sounds like he was loved and loved back. And it sounds like you appreciated it. Both of you were pretty lucky. Sorry for your loss, hope you have a great holiday.

You were blessed to have known him and his beautiful soul. I have known the pain and the void you deal with. Much love and prayers for healing of your broken hearts.

I ‘m sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing about Archie. Like and many others who have shared on this forum, two of our senior dogs crossed the rainbow bridge within 6 weeks of each other. I had them for 14 and 15 years, respectively. I wish it wasn’t so.

So sorry for your loss. Our Lhasa Apso has his own front license plate and a big ole decal on the back window of our Class C. As soon as the keys come out he gets over excited. If ever there was a camping companion who truly loves the word camping 'Lupe' is it. He's just as much a reason for us getting our rig as any. Your Archie certainly deserves the tribute.

Very sorry about your dear doggie. It doesn't help much to talk about me, but I miss all my animals. I have lost so many dogs and other pets. When I had to put down my last dog, I asked if the Vet could give me a shot too. Dear companions. I sometimes wish that pets could outlive us. So, I do share your pain.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We have lost two this year, most recently our Harley a.k.a. Catfish. They all tug at our hearts every day then when we have to let them go, it becomes a steady pull. Rest knowing your baby is playfully enjoying his time "across the Rainbow Bridge".
