Interestingly, progress is being made. Forest River is aware of comments made on this forum. And statements, experiences, opinions etc. made on it can have an impact. Both the dealer and FR manufacturing support personnel are now actively working my issues. As said earlier, even though these threads sometimes take a direction other than initially envisioned, as a customer it can be productive to actively be engaged, such as bringing to light things that did not go as expected or agreed. A squeeky wheel sometimes times gets some grease - especailly if it makes sense!

On the MCO front. The lender has specifically stated to me that all they need is a copy of the front and back of the MCO. I take "their word" on that issue. Also, the MCO - I have a copy from ExploreUSA for the trailer we almost purchased - contains information related to the specific trailer in question and in fact is typically completed close to the end of the manufacturing process, although it often is created at an earlier date.

None the less, FR has now agreed to investigate sending a pdf file or faxing a copy of the MCO to the dealer, effectively improving the schedule by about 1 week.

By way of a telephone conversation, I have now been informed that the delivery date can be improved by at least one, and maybe two weeks when considering the MCO issue.

I do not believe I have used derogatory language or have overstated my concerns. Statements made via. email to me by FR have now been clarified by them, and scheduling "corrections" have been identified - in part, I believe, due to conversations on this forum.

As I said earlier, I selected the FR XLR because I thought it to be the best product. My problems have not been product related, they have been manufacturing related. Indications are that their manufacturing processes have quickly made a change for the better.

I am glad you are feeling a little better about your purchase of an FR product and the related delivery issues. I have found them to be an outstanding company when I was dealing with them, after some initial extreme frustration of course, which was not really their fault.

Misunderstandings, miscommunication happen to the best of us, I hope that they will be able to satisfy at least some of your concerns.

I remember the day when I was getting ready to go and get my first ever TT only to be called by the dealer 4-5 hours before I was leaving to take delivery saying, they had found a water leak and they could not release the unit. It IS very frustrating ...

Have patience and work with them on your musts, and I am sure they will bend backward to accomodate you to the best of their abilities. Some things they might not be able to, but I am sure they will do their best.

rickfox, I am glad that you are getting some satisfaction from FR.
I hope you will be easy on them, as they are extremely busy people, and have thousands of other customers as well.
Maybe not everyone orders a monster toy hauler, but all of their customers are equally important to them.
Part of the extended build time may be that FR doesn't build as many of your unit. They build a lot of mid-size trailers, so they would take up a lot of the factory time.
Just cool down, and you will find people will treat you a lot better.
Calm gets much more respect than ranting.

Please point out the area of my "ranting" in this thread, and I will be happy to look at how I can improve.

Life is short!

Look forward to and anticipate the good times you will have when you take delivery.
I don't know the details of all the comments; but, it appears cooler heads make sense.
And, as I always find out, everything could be worse.
Finally, if you have dogs, don't leave them barking at your campsite.

Enjoy your future camping and whatever "toys" you are hauling!
Enjoy the "temporary".

Thanks for the great readings. I didn't read the last thread until after seeing this one.I got a good chuckle out of it. My wife gets mad at me because nothing makes me upset, and I mean NOTHING.(well maybe sometimes the kids do). To get worked up is understandable, but it won't really change anything. If it takes 11 weeks let it, you'll get a better quality product then if you rush them to get it sooner, then what? Your back at the dealer upset because it needs repairs. put your frustrations behind you knowing you'll have a great time using your trailer and spending time with your family in it.

good luck and enjoy.

this forum is a great place to vent a concern, but in no way is a part of Forest River, rather a bunch of mostly satisfied owners of Forest River products. We are on your side, but other than saying "we hear you buddy", it seems that you are expecting accountability from Forest River because of your statements here.

So if you use this forum for commraderie and a listening ear then you are here for the right reason, we can try to offer suggestions or someone else may have already been through the problems you have, maybe we can offer support for your situation, but when it goes on and on, then the moderators step in.

We welcome you here, just don't wear out your welcome.

Good luck
