This is what I use. Just screw the adapter to your propane tank, reconnect your main propane hose and then just connect the extension hose to the adapter and your good to go. Can't get any easier.

You unscrew the bracket the regulator is on and then twist off the regulator. You are left with a 1/8" Male pipe.

Screw the coupler onto that (using the thread tape, of course)
then the quick connect into the coupler.

Plug the quick connect hose onto the quick connect, and the other end into the female quick connect of your camper.

Voilla!

Do you have a completed photo of this. I am on my second grill and I love the grill, but hate that I cant use it, they are both in my garage sale pile because I cannot seem to get enough gas t to keep the burners lit. I am not that smart with propane, but I am using a Stay Flow adapter on my tank and it feeds my grill, so what will happen if I remove the regulator, because then there is no regulator???

So first, I should be clear, I adapted my grill to work with the Low pressure side of the RV propane, so I had to remove the regulator. The stay flow connects directly to the high pressure propane tank. You can't remove the regulator and still connect to the high pressure.

I don't understand why you wouldn't get enough flow, though? Does it work correctly with the green 1lb bottles? If not, maybe you have a bad regulator?

We love our new 2200 and our 2000... did like 1000 but needed more size. Did have a 2000 at home and a 1000 in trailer. Recently replaced the 1000 with a 2200 with the stand, after a cook-out w/family at campground necessitated too many batches of food. By the way, the new stands are MUCH better than the old style IMHO.

It seems to work fine with the 1 pounders, but I still want to use the 100.00 adapter that I have. 2 different grills, not a coincidence that it is 2 now.

I have the adapter hose that they sell in Home Depot to use on a 20 pound tank. I ran into the same problem. I wasn't getting enough gas to keep the entire burner lit. I thought it was the hose and bought a second hose. Finally, I realized that the problem was that the hose was not depressing the plunger in the tank enough. I had some heavy duty plastic reflective tape and I cut a round piece about 5/16" of an inch and punched a small hole in the center of it. I placed it on the end of the hose where it depresses the plunger valve in the tank and it worked! I'll post a pic in a few, but the DW has lunch ready right now!

Hard to get a good closeup with a cell phone camera, but this is the end of the hose that attaches to the propane tank. You can see the red tape on the end. The outside dimension is more like 1/4". My DW has a hole punch that punches small holes and that is what I used for the inside hole.



This is the reflective tape that I used. It's quite tough and I didn't believe it would compress. I thought I might need to double up on the tape, but one piece was thick enough. Originally, I thought of glueing a small washer on the hose end, but this has done the trick for me. So SYE, get those grills out of the yard sale pile and enjoy them!

Hot got two of those from Home Depot that had the same problem. And they were the Weber brand so I thought they would be the best. Bought a cheaper one on Amazon that work great.

I was tempted to buy a hose from Walmart and see how it worked. Do you have any details on the one you got at Amazon?

Walmart only sells the charbroil brand and the one that goes from the propane tank to the Weber or Coleman grill works fine for $12

That was back in 2012. I do not remember the brand.

We have owned 2 Weber Q grills. The first was the big one and we needed it when camping with our 3 boys. It's 14 years old and still works great, we gave it to oldest son for his apartment patio. We then bought the smaller version for home and camping since it is usually just the two of us now. Shortly after buying the second one we had a visit from a raccoon and yes he knocked it off the table and it landed on our cement patio and broke the leg. Still works great though! We have also given the smaller one as wedding and birthday gifts for family. Highly recommend it!

Got to try mine out last night after getting it together. Stand is a wee bit wobbly but works well, screwdriver spatula and a Miller Lite while cooking dogs and burgers, grill cooked awesome and easier to clean than the Coleman Roadtrip

Just a few days prior to Father's Day, we bought a Weber Spirit gas grill. What a difference in cooking from the last one we had.

Reading this thread, I looked at the accessories for it on Amazon. I'm going to order a griddle for ours. If our 5'er didn't have the bumper mounted gas grill on it, I would buy one of these Weber 2200. The reviews by thos that have bought them are awesome.

I just bought a 2200 about a month ago. I absolutely love it. I plumbed it into my camper tanks and it worked perfect...now if the price of beef would come down...lol..
