Weird

I am new to this forum, and we are taking delivery on a new trailer in the morning. I have asked a few questions and had several very helpful and informative answers. However, there was one private post that I received that concerned me. I got a message asking me to contact a forum member of only several hours that stated he needed to talk to me, “if” I could get back to him in time. There was no content to the message other than the urgency to contact him. Have any of you had these types of messages, or found private messages to be some kind of scam? The 99.999% of the reading I have done on this forum, plus the folk who have responded to my novice questions have been outstanding people. It was just a little spooky the way the post sounded. Sorry I was so long winded.

I had a post this morning from a scam situation. I am not sure how to report it but, I looks wrong it probably is. There was a post later saying that they had block the person.

That is weird,but I guess scams are run in every other part of everyday life so I guess one would have to be living in a dream world to think they wouldn't reach these forums.Just have to be very skeptical of too good to be true things.

I had one of those the other day, not on this forum but on another one, I just ignored it. They are strange people out in this world with nothing else to do.

PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE IT!

Let a moderator or admin know right away. There is a new "bot" that sends PMs to forum members and we do not "see" them. The only way we will know there is a spammer loose is to see their post and we can take action. We do not see their PM to you. Help us help everyone by keeping our board as "spam free" as possible.

We can delete every PM they managed to send before we caught wind from a board member. PROVIDED we are told he is active.
