Was just saying that my current truck has the upgrades that make it the same as the 250. Should also correct my error that it has the 3.73 axle, and 139 wheel base. I have the same towing capabilities as a F250 that has the smaller 5.4 engine.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm certainly not a truck expert.
I had considered the F150 Ecoboost..a lot !!..BUT... If i were to ever want a bigger 5th wheel ( mine now weighs 7,700 lbs dry ) ..and wanted to go climb the highest Mountains and hills ...then look for a good used F 250- F350..Supercab works for me. DIESEL !!! 400 Horsepower...800 ft lbs of torque...3,900 lbs of payload capacity..that... you.. CANNOT get in a F150..!!!

Awesome truck!!! I've got the integrated brake controller in my 2008 and I love it. Not only does it work exceedingly well but the best part is my knee isn't bumping into it like the brake controller in my old truck. The other feature you'll love is the integrated exhaust brake that comes on in tow/haul mode that really helps slow you down while towing on a downhill. Enjoy your rig.

RE: 5.4 L

I believe that if my 5.4 L had a tow/haul and a 6 spd tranny I would still have it.

I also believe that if you are getting into 3/4 and 1 ton trucks you should go diesel and 4x4.

I drove F150's for 25 years and loved them but when I got into using one for camping and towing a 5K# TT (and probably a 5er in the near future) had to get a heftier TV.

I'm interested in what kind of MPG you get with her towing and not towing. MPG estimates on the super duty forums seem to be all over the place. It may be time for me to do some horse trading as well.

3900lb payload in an F250 diesel? Can you please post a picture of your yellow sticker? I sure would like to see that because I don't believe it.

My F250 diesel doesn't have a 1000 miles on it yet but my first pull with 8000 lb TT was about 159 miles each way, flat ground mild winds and got 12.8 miles to gal.

In town been getting 14 and 20 on hwy.
