If you will go through southwestern Colorado, you may be interested in the Durango and Silverton Railroad. Check their web site. I posted information about it earlier. You can find it by using the search box at the top of this page. Enter the thread The Big Loop. Be sure the FRF button is checked. I have seen several other threads with suggestions for western trips.
Have fun.

I came "West from Georgia" (Macon) when I was 18, and I'm still here 50 years later!

Trip planning is hard work

Thanks for all the input. The Painted Desert and Winslow are on our agenda. Will be in Flagstaff a few days. North Rim, Zion, Lake Powell, Monument Valley, Mesa Verde, Durango,
Santa Fe, Palo Dura Canyon (July 4th) and on back to Georgia along I-20, any suggestions for East-bound, places to camp, see etc.?

On the 40, don't miss the "World's Largest Wooden Cross", and the leaning water tank, the 8th and 9th wonders of the World. ;^)

I think they're about 40 miles apart on your side of OK, if memory serves, which it seldom does!
