We will be remembering the good times of the past trips and planning good times for our future trips.

Well I actually still go down to my camper over the winter months but its not the same. The first thing I have planned and done is to build and install an owl box. I am hoping some owls would cut down on the field mice population! I have looked all over the camper and just can't guess where those little pesky sob's are getting in at. I have covered all the usual vents with wire screen but I still see one or two each time. So maybe an Owl would like some easy pickins'!

Shoveling snow, looking for new campgrounds online, shoveling more snow, booking the summer trips, shoveling the end of the driveway that the plow closed in.

Don't get me wrong, I like the winter, we 4 wheel, snowmobile, ski, Etc... I just love camping!

Well....

I just got a new job and our "Tech Ops" center is 110 miles from the house. There is a heavy chain link fence around the place (mobile MRI labs are stored there) so instead of a five hour commute on the days I need to be there...the boss says bring the camper and park in the yard, free power and water to boot!!

After Christmas we'll spend 8 -10 days on Dauphin Island again around New Years. Hopefully "Ida" didn't tear the place up too bad.

Our camper is winterized and waiting for spring. I had surgery on my foot yesterday so I will be sitting at the computer and making reservations for next summer. Hope to be able to enjoy hiking and playing next summer, didn't get to do much hiking this year.

I went scuba diving in Bonaire last week....spent ~18 hrs. underwater.

Unfortunately, that is the last trip until camping next spring.

I plan on patiently waiting, as we did last year, since we brought our camper home on Nov. 11. Made one trip, and winterized. After waiting for spring, I had emergency surgery on Apr. 1, and took until July to recover. Hoping for a better season next year. We did enjoy the times we got to go.

We get -40 in the winter . . . too cold to camp. But we are fortunate to have indoor storage for our camper, so we will be doing a few mods. We plan to install our table onto a couple of solid legs so that we do not have to take it up and down. (we can still take it down if we need to for sleeping . . . but it will be solid enough to keep up while traveling and will be nice to just open the door and have lunch. Also plan to finnish some work where we opened up a cabinet, and also plan to make a couple of inflatable leveling bags for our next trip. (found the plans on an rv site) . . getting ready to take an 8 week trip across Canada to Prince Edward Island . . . time to dream and plan . . . thats what we will do.

We live in southwest washington. While we're north it is't so bad that we have to winterize normally. We will turn on some heat and drain the hot water heater and fresh if it drops down in the 20s for a bit. That isn't to often though. Dear wifey bless her heart, puts the christmas presents on the bed so I guess we're stuck home till after christmas. I like to go to the beach during the storms and camp. There is plenty to do besides. Happy camping.

living in California allows us to keep camping, even through the wintertime. we usually will take a trip or two during the winter months.
but, with the state parks' closures, most of our favorite winter places are closed. this has not happened before.
so, our available campgrounds are very limited.
so, we're getting some final warranty work done and when that's finished, we'll see what state parks are still open.
if there are any good ones, we'll take a trip or two.

We are going to try out some bingo to night. min pay out is $50 buck for four corners and regular bingo and a pay out for the jack pot $1000 buck. This could help out for the holidays and maybe money towards our seasonal site in the Spring.

We stay at the city owned and managed campground on Dauphin island. Good seafood all around down there.

And as for parking the trailer at the tech ops center...NO WAY! Too much crime in the area, so bad that company vehicles are brought inside the building at night. I found a suitable hotel for $29.50 a night and I guess I'll stay there on short stays and use local campgrounds for longer stints.

Other than that, the new job is working out pretty well.

Another Fayetteville camper. Not sure I have my signature and profile updated but I am from Fayetteville, GA as well. Also happen to be a HAM though I have not been active recently - too many other hobbies! Maybe I'll dig the rigs out.
