What are these for?

Can someone explain to me what the proper use for these is? They are awkward to get into because of the wheel wells. Go an another foot below the door opening and are just pointless. I guess a drawer on the bottom would have made sense? or maybe if there was no "drawer section" there? I have owned the trailer for 3 years now and can't really figure out what to use these for. I even thought this year of removing them completely and doing something custom, but the shelf above the bed would have to go too.

I have something like those in the lite.

There are a couple of shelf's inside, so I put T-shits and other small items on top and shorts on the bottom.

Ford Idaho: mine have no shelves. They are just empty. But I think yours look like the doors go all the way to the bottom?

The doors do not go all the way to the floor.

Is adding shelf's possible?

The brochures call them shirt closets. Ours have rods where we hang light jackets and shirts. They came with a shelf at the top, and at the bottom they follow the contour of the camper nose, making them pretty deep. So we can store some things on the bottom.

Mine look basically the same as yours, but function as closets. There is a shelf on the top and a bar below the shelf to hang clothes and no wheel well to trip over. Door goes to the bottom.

I built extendable shelves in one of them and mounted wire baskets on them. It worked well as sock and underwear storage.

We have the same closets in our Cruise Lite. We use one side to hold all of our clothes on hangers, and we put one of these hanging shelf units in the other to hold folded shirts and other clothes. There is plenty of space behind the shelf unit to store spare bedding.

A really cheap solution to add a lot of storage.

webp link

Please don't post links with non-standard formats. We don't need to clutter up our machines with additional readers or converters that we may never use again.

That makes sense. That format is a Google developed one that doesn't work on PCs without a converter or special app ($). Probably built in to the Android phones. It worked on my HTC.
Sorry if that sounded like a flame - it wasn't intended to.

What are these...

If you check your owner's manual, you will note that these are specially constructed cabinets designed to accommodate small, annoying children. Simply place the whining wretch deep into the space, throw in a can of coke, a bag of cheetos and a smart phone and firmly close the door....you won't have to see or hear from them for a week.

Oh, and for all you politically correct robots...that's a JOKE!

Those one are just the special order ones that are insulated with sound proofing material.

Believe it or not- I'm on an iPhone and was able to view it.

It did sound like a flame when I got your comment in an email from the site today. Wasn't able to see the other posts till I got home from work. I accept your apology, but let's not rush to judgement on people, shall we. I don't live in the windows universe, I use a Chromebook for a PC, Android tablets, and an iPhone. Sorry if you had trouble with your Windows, never heard anyone say that before.

Chuck, that format works fine on a PC. It's not Windows, it's your web browser. Suggest you stop using Internet Explorer and switch to Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox!

I did laugh.

I have something a lot like that in my TT, has a bar for hangers that might work for someone that is not big as I at 6.3 and 300lbs. The DW uses her side and mine. She continues to use the TT as a place where things go to die. I digress...

Chrome supports .webp format, Firefox doesn't.
