What do you do with your television(s)?

Tried to do a search on this, but TV translates to "two vehicle" rather than television haha

What do most people recommend to do with the televisions mounted in their trailers when travelling? Do you leave yours hanging on the wall or take them all down and put them on the beds or some other soft and safe place?

We have been leaving ours mounted in place. I am just not sure how the walls will handle this over time? They are not big heavy units, a 22" and a 24".

It's a good idea to secure & protect the TV during travel. I had a wall mount installed that locks my 22" TV in place when not in use. I was lucky that the stud was where I wanted the TV to be mounted. Got the lockable wall mount from CW.

Before mounting the TV I kept it in the box on top of the bed with boxing it in so that it would not move while traveling.

When traveling, our flatscreen rides comfortably face down on the couch. I just don't trust the wall where it is mounted to support it while driving.

Mine stays in place from the time i install it in the Spring til the end of the camping season.

I took the advice of one of the members here and added a 3/4" piece of plywood to the TV center and it made the mounting more solid.

I use a bungee cord hanging from the shelf above the TV to take some of the weight off of the TV while traveling. We have a swivel mount.

I leave the one that came with the trailer in the "living" area like it is. The mount is pretty solid, and it does not extend or swivel (though I do plan on changing that out one day). I mounted one in the bedroom that is on an extendable/swivel mount. I have a bungee that I stretch over the TV between two hooks when traveling that keeps it tight against the mounting surface. So all I have to do us remove the bungee and adjust the extend/swivel to suit. Both TV's remain mounted though.

Ours stays put, it is nearly impossible to get out of the mount at the best of times so I figure it should be ok. It survived a bump last summer in northern ontario that actually jammed the rear screen door.

Ours gets stuffed into a cabinet, only 19", surrounded by pillows. So far so good.

Bah, I could barely get that thing off its brackets and now you all have me worried that I should be taking it off....hmm...I am going to see what I can do to better secure it.
