What is this? Sensor? LED Indicator?

I have been trying to figure out what this goes to. Does anyone have one of these and know what it does? It's in the bedroom of my Wildcat on the ceiling above the exterior door.

There was a thread a while back here about that very thing. I think it was a remote sensor for the A/V system. However, my Google-fu is lacking as I couldn't find it.

Take the A/V remote in there and aim it at it and see if it will operate the unit.

Ah thanks. Unfortunately, my new-to- me TT didn't have the remote when I purchased it. I'm going to assume it's a IR sensor. Thank you!

It is a IR repeater... allows remote to work from another room.

I see there is a power outlet in the enclosed space behind that sensor. Could be an IR sensor to control the power outlet that is behind it.

Well thanks folks. Since I don't have a remote for my Concertone stereo system, I guess there's no way to know for sure.

Give me the model number of the Concertone unit. I may have a remote for it that I'd be willing to mail you.

Wow thank you! I think it is a ZX500. There's no model number on the unit but based on Google Image search, ZX500 matches.
