For me, considering the heat and humidity of Houston and the surrounding areas, I'm roughing it unless I have a/c. Sleeping in comfort is my idea of glamping, I love glamping!

Glamour Camping (Glamping) to us is Not sleeping on the ground, staying up out of the bugs, having a fan running outside with an air conditioner inside, sleeping with screens on the windows, satellite TV, electric skillet, recliner chairs, running water, carpet, patio rugs, refrigerator, ice maker, sitting outside watching other Glampers (RV's and occupants) go by and set up, and rain does not spoil the fun as you go in side and play games, TV or sit and converse as a family or friends. And if you want to go Glamping, within a moments notice you are hooked up and headed out to camp in your Glamper.

Did you spend more money than me? That's glamping.

Are you having more fun than me? That's likely some kind of party.

Glamping

This question has a different answer based on the perspective of the respondent.

John Muir would go into the wild for a month with only a cup and a blanket. He would respond that all camping today is glamping.
My daughter-in-law would say that if you do not have a soft bed, a shower, a TV, cell phone service, fast internet, fast food and maid service, you are not glamping.

Myself... I grew up camping in tents and considered all trailers glamping.
I have had a motorhome and now I have a nice trailer and this is glamping to me.
I dry camp a lot and I will not have a TV in my campsite.
But I draw a line of not sleeping on the hard ground.
A good air mattress with a warm sleeping bag and my pillow and shelter from the elements is glamping to me.

Thats my opinion.
This is the most plausible reality.

It's all a matter of perspective. Am I glamping? Probably. But we're all camping, usually out in the woods, how is simply a matter of preference.

I think my sister said it best the first time we went out the year I upgraded the pop-up to a hybrid. " Remember, no TV. We're roughing it!"

Haha, well, thank you, but it was more divorce induced residential reassignment. We split up, I used the camper until I found a house. But, camping is camping, no matter why, right?
