Thanks Everyone! I see I'm not the only one with a lot of interpretations on trailer size. We love our 23 footer! Unless, of course, a 17 would work better.

I'd cite the actual overall length as measured from the very front of the A-frame hitch to very back of the rear bumper. That way, you'll never have to worry that a shorter measurement might result not being able to fit someplace.

Depends on what sites are available. Im technically at 32', but if there are only 30' sites available, i come in at 28'8" (my model #). I can make it fit!

This is what our dealer told us. TT model numbers measure interior floor length. Most don't include bumper or hitch and are trying to keep model number length at or under 30 feet. Several camp ground limit trailer length at 30 feet or less.
I bought a 37 foot cover for our Windjammer and it was only about a foot too long when covering the front V.

Exactly. Seems like most state and national parks state the length of the pad without considering that most of the time you can hang several feet of the trailer off the back. On occasion there will be an obstacle in the way, but it's rare in my experience.

Lots of State Parks list "30'Site/Pad" and there is "Very Little" room left for TV! Indiana SP are "Death on Even ! tire in the Grass" so get ready for a HIKE to Overflow Parking! Youroo!!

I've found that the true length matters only in a few campgrounds, where they measure from ball to bumper. We pull a FR Flagstaff 820 (a PUP). Specs say it is 20' 2" long, folded. for camping registration, I round up to 21 feet. Of course, when it opens up, it is much more spacious, and that is what really counts--especially when inclement weather forces us inside!
