Today, 38F at 06:30. High reached about 45 mid afternoon. Nice day - scattered to striated clouds, but a chilly northerly breeze.

We're supposed to get warm and wet towards the middle of next week - mid 50's and (by local standards) a lot of rain. After three years in Tidewater VA, I still chuckle at what the locals consider "a lot". We get 36 hours of steady rain and it accumulates less than half an inch. In Hampton, on summer afternoons we'd get a thunderstorm about 15:30 that would dump 3 inches in 45 minutes. On one occasion (just before President Nixon resigned) the storm stayed around all night and we got over 11" in 15 hours.

Broke down and turned on the air here in Harlingen. 81 and high humidity was just too much to bear.

It is 58 in Deer Valley, Az this morning, with a high of 72. We did have a day of rain on Thursday, but the temperature still rose to 66

Is that a picture of the RV park you are in? That is a scene us winter-bound folks dream of!

Nah, we left the TT at home, hotel rates are so low on the coast this time of the year it just wasn't worth bringing it out. There's a KOA across the street from here that resembles a ghost town. Click image for larger version
