What to expect at time of deliver from dealer

So, on Tuesday I'm picking my new Salem 26TBUD from my dealer and am just wondering what I should expect as for a "walk-thru" and/or what big things I should check before driving it off the lot.

Of course, there are just lots of things that can't be checked out without really using the trailer. I've already checked the tags/stickers and all the weights seem to make sense. Should I crawl underneath and check that the axles actually are what is stated? (another thread got me wondering).

And, what do dealers typically do at time of delivery? I'm thinking I'd at least like to see the slide move in and out and watch the furnace/water heater/fridge run. I have lots of experience with previous RVs so I'm not looking for an education... just verification.

Any advice is appreciated

i advise that you have them run all the systems, including pressurizing the water system.
make sure you know how to do that for all of them.

i'll mention a few things that come up here all the time, from new owners:

make sure you know how to use the electric/propane sides of the water heater.
make sure you know how manually retract the slideout.
make sure you know where the converter, fuses and breakers are.
make sure you know how to use the electric/propane sides of the fridge.
make sure you know what every switch's function is for.
make sure you know where the fuse is, if you cross the wires to the battery.
make sure you know how to hook up to cable and how to hook up the tv.
make sure you know how to setup/take down the awning.
make sure you know where your tank discharges are and which are which.
make sure you know where your low point drains are.
make sure you know where your WH's bypass is.
make sure you know where your water pump and filter are.

that's all i can think of, right now. i'll add more if i think of any others.

Check the GVWR sticker on the driver's side front, and the yellow 'dry weight' and cargo capacity sticker, for correct numbers. Compare the tire size and pressure numbers to the tires that are on the camper.

Make sure the fridge drain hose is hanging out of the outside vent cover (it took me a year to notice that one! )

If you don't have a torque wrench for the wheel nuts, make sure they checked them.

If you are pulling any distance home, give the axle hubs a few squirts of grease (if you have the easy-lube hubs)

If you the Alko rubber torsion axles, ask the dealer if they would drill some holes up into the horizontal mounting frame, and bolts those suckers up tight. They can slip on the vertical mounts. If you have spring suspension, disregard this one!

Get a tube of self-leveling Dicor caulking, so when you get home you can go up on the roof and make sure there are no missed spots. Or get them to do it, better yet!

Have a good look at the decals, especially at where they may taper down to a tip. That is the first place they will start to lift. If there is any sign of that on the lot, you know it will only get worse.

I guess a list might be in order!
