What would you buy with $200 gift certificate from RV dealer?
We went to a RV show in February and my DW won a $200 gift certificate at a RV dealer. Tommorow we are scheduled to pick up our new Grey Wolf 21RR and I'm thinking there are probably some things we could buy with the gift certificate that we will be needing for the camper. I'm not sure that it comes with a sewer hose so that could be something we will need. I'd like to hear your suggestions for other items we may need to purchase. Thanks.

I would think a new unit would have a sewer hose, check it out first. Window covers are great to have to block out the early morning light, ceiling vent cushions were a must to do the same blocking of light. Wheel chocks and levelling pads are a must. Comfortable campfire chairs are a good investment. Vent covers for the roof to prevent rain are a must and we bought small folding tables to use outside around the campfire.
In our second season last summer we found Campers World and it was like 2 kids in a candy store. Enjoy your new rig.

Sewer hose that comes with it is pretty well useless. Get yourself a good one

As stated, it depends on what they threw in with the deal.
Some things are not expensive and should be bought regardless.
If not included as part of the deal I would consider these as priority purchases:
Roof Vent Covers
25 Feet Non-Kink Water hose
Water Pressure Regulator
15 feet Sewer hose with swivel pipe fitting
5 foot sewer hose extension
25 foot 30 amp extenstion cord
X-Type wheel chocks
Leggo Type Levers
30 amp to 20 amp adapter
50 amp to 30 amp adapter
Coupler lock
Bike Chain/Cable type lock for spare tire
I am sure others have their own items.

I suggest that you do at least one night of camping in your driveway and a shakedown cruise to help prioritize what is most important for you. Then buy.

Yes a must have is a 30 amp ext cord for shore power!
You will be surprised at how often you will need it!

I would take the DW out for a very nice dinner and a show. Because, if she didn't say OK, there would be no new RV in the driveway!

A little hard to cash this one in at a RV outlet though.

It's amazing how quick you can burn through $200 buying stuff for you camper. I though I had all the basics I needed, like drain hoses, wheel chocks etc., but I have spent over $300 in the last two weeks ordering/buying things for the camper. Here's my list of extras that I have bought. 50amp exntension cord, another 25' fresh water hose. fridge fan, knife safe, scissor style wheel chock, door push/pull bar, inside door opener kit, mud dauber guards, awning wind clips, decrative light hangers. All are basically extra doodads that I can live without, but are nice to have.
Get the basics and keep a note pad and favorite camping accessories catalog in the camper, and make a list as you take your camper on it first few trips.
