I don't mind helping people, but some times ya gotta take care of your own first, then worry about everyone else. Stuck on the highway like that would be one of those situations where you would have to make some decision. What slays me is the attitude of some people that simply expect you to help them when you chose not to.

I used to take my Class A to the St. Louis thanksgiving day parade every year. The parade organizer put up Porto-potties, but the numbers always seemed lacking and there was a never ending stream of people coming up to me to inquire if they could use my 'facilities'. With the exception of a few nicer people with young children, I always responded "no".

I could not believe the number of people (usually 20-ish girls) that apparently have never been given a straight 'no' in their lives. they would be like "why not?!?". I would tell them that I am not in the habit of explaining myself to strangers, and I wasn't gonna start with them. I was cussed at, called rude names and other un-pleasantries more than once by people who clearly thought that I was put on this earth to solve all of their problems for them.

I wouldnt be able to help many. i carry only a small amount of fresh water in my tt while traveling same goes for food. Since we own a smallish TT we dont keep much food in it but opt to stop near our destination and stock up. we however normally have a case of bottled water and a few snacks.
