What You Bought You Don't Take Anymore

When we got our class c about a year ago, there were some things I thought would be good to have. And we did get some things that we just take with us occasionally, depending on the trip, etc.

But I bought a folding table, about 3x6, that no longer goes with us. Thought it would be great to put under the awning for cooking and came up with a lot of other ideas why it would be worth having. It just has not worked out for our trips.

It now makes a great craft table when the grandkids come by, or when I have a project around the house.

What did you buy that sounded like a great thing but you no longer take on your trips?

Kingpin tri-pod. Got tired of hauling that heavy, awkward thing around and even when we took it I rarely used it.

That heavy piemaker thing. I used it a couple of times but never often enough to justify carrying it around.

I still carry around an EZ-Up style screened canopy/tent by Coleman. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve used it. But it still rides in the back of the truck. Ironically, I say that and it’s setup right now AND we used it a couple of times at this campground. So... that just renewed its chance of staying.

A two burner hot plate. Thought I would cook outside if its hot. 3 years and many trips and never even plugged it in. LOL

The steps which hook to our side patio or rear patio. I think we may have used them one time. They're too big and bulky for what little benefit they offer.

I sold mine immediately after getting the camper.

My Roo came with a heavy welded metal step that would hang off the frame and allow you to step up to close the bunk latches. Must have weighed 20 lbs. Brought the TT home and put the step in the garage. It sat there for 3 years until we traded the Roo for the Mini Lite.

Didn't by the following but they all came with the trailer and have not been in it since the day it came home. 2 Bar Stools, the little coffee table with lamp that is supposed to go between the chairs and the bbq it came with. We did buy a Coleman propane Coffeee maker that has never been used in 6 years (easier to use my Makita coffee maker that runs on my 18v LXT batteries)

Another did not buy but came with the trailer. The folding counter top extension that blocks access to the drawers. Been in the garage since the first trip.

Did not buy, but came with it

I had not thought of this aspect, but there may be some things that came with the camper that I might consider removing. Can't help it, I love to mod

Am considering the value of the 2 rear and center front stabilizer jacks. Anyone remove those on a class c and miss them? Many times the rear is too high for them to be of any use anyway without adding some spacers, and that's just more stuff to haul around.

Central vacuum that came with trailer. I hate it, only use it when I have to, otherwise I wait til I get home to vacuum with the house vacuum. Sadly it is still in the trailer.

Extra plastic shelves for in the closet. Thought it would be good place for extra clothes. Used it once or twice, then took it out for more place to put closet junk.

Have a bunch of stuff we bought for our old TT that doesn't work for the 5er. It just sits in our garage now... might be time for a yard sale.

A Coleman gas grill that came on its own stand with wheels. Used it twice. Cleaned it up and gave it to my brother. I don't think he liked it either.

And the countertop extension and plastic sink cover/cutting board that came with the trailer. The extension gets used maybe once a year. The sink cover... never.

Nothing, if we don't use it, we don't take it.

Same here on the Coleman grill. It lasted about as long as the George Foreman grill the wife bought. I found it hard to clean up, didn't cook all that well, used it twice and it's been in the garage for 4 years now.
