Alberta is great for changing scenery. In one day you can see the wide open prairies, badlands, parkland, dense forests, foothills and stunning mountains. Enough stuff to see and do to keep you busy for a long time, friendly people, NO SALES TAX -although we pay more for almost everything than you do in the US 5 national parks including Banff, Jasper and Waterton Lakes, a ton of provincial parks, an international park and a big blue sky

Mt. Rushrooma and the Black Hills are great! Camp at Big Pine Campound in Custer. Everything from pop-ups to honkin' motor homes wind up trails to camp under the huge pine trees on really nice spots. At night, you can sit around the campfire and listen to the pine trees rustle in the wind. You have access to Keystone, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Rapid City, all day trips. On the way, check out Wall Drug Store, a fun tourist attraction with all kinds of shops (and free ice water!) Go to www.travelsd.com and request a vacation guide. Have fun!

We are from Nevada and it is a great state to be in. Please remember that the "stays in Nevada" comments only apply to Vegas which is like a different world from the rest of the state. We are outside Reno and we have everything you could want, all 4 seasons without extremes (mid to upper 90's and very rarely below 0) with low humidity. Best of all we have Lake Tahoe, the Sierra Nevada mountains, the high desert, Virginia City, camping, hunting, fishing and so much more. What we really need is some precipitation.
Also if you would pronounce Nevada correctly we would really appreciate!!

We got married in Zephye Cove and gave some thought to moving to the Reno area. We saw a lot of fudge factories and many "Fudge For Sale" places along the road from Reno to ZC.

You're right - it is beautiful country there.
