What's on your RV spring To-Do list?

As I am sitting in a hotel room in Coffeyville Kansas for work 350 miles from home I am making a list of things that I need to do in March to get ready for the season. What's on your list? Here is mine:

-Replace the fire extinguisher used last year during my hub fire
-Find one of those fancy screen door openers instead of the slider on mine
-figure out a better way of attaching my lexan panels to the screen door
-build a anti roll off rail for the top bunk for my kids
-add a few led lights in the front storage compartment
- replace all batteries in smoke/co detectors
-re paint my dual battery tray
-permanently mount my dis connect switch
-replace worn snap up brackets on my centerline hitch (for my peace of mind)
-sanitize fresh water tank and jeep canteens
-replace crappy rivets on stairs with SS hardware
-reduce weight and eliminate anything not used last season(easier said than done)
-wash and wax and inspect roof/sealant
-pull out the top awning mount and re-enforce with liquid nails the connection after our "awing incident" last year
-scrub and de mould awing

Let's see how much I actually get done as our first trip is scheduled for the last week in March.

On mine:
Awning (middle) support bracket.
40" tv, the 32" it's too small!
Adding support for the big party sofa, it's sagging in the middle.
Will love to add the bike rack.
Air bags for the Tundra.
Full wax detail. (not by me) $$$
Magic Mesh hands free screen door.
Bumper lights.

And now I don't even want to think about the summer list!

Install two more batteries and three way switch.

Install inverter in bedroom.

Organize utility storage pocket up front. I want to put hoses, cables, etc into their own tubs for easy access.

Organize basement in a similar fashion.

Organizer in the pantry. Really, I'm not a neat freak by a long shot, but with it being nice and new I want to keep it that way.

Last item on my to do lost is ten nights camping before summer!

Check battery level
Clean roof & slide roofs
Check all seams and caulking
Wash/wax unit
Wash windows inside & out (I hate this job)
Check tire pressure
Check for level, check wheel chocks (On a seasonal site so I check this spring & fall)
Blow out water lines, bleach water hose
Check all LP appliances to make sure they still operate as intended
Check for any mice infestation (None yet, knock wood)
Check AC operation (don't want any surprises when it gets hot, if that ever happens)

Do a PDI on new camper.
Wait for the frost to get out of ground.
Unpack the shed.
Roll out the 'carpet' and set stairs in place.
Put up the screen house
Oh, yea, the last several can't happen dill the frost is out of the ground and the snow is gone -- hopefully by June!!!
We have sub-zero temps again!

Great list. Nice to have the reminders of what needs to be done.

There was a great article in the latest Trailer Life that gave suggestions of what needed to be done to get ready for the summer camping season. DW is making a honey-do list based on that article. I will have her add ideas from this thread tom make sure nothing gets missed.

Now I just wish it would warm up enough for me to start working on all this. We are seriously thinking of storing the Creek down south somewhere next winter. That way we could just drive to it and take off from there.

I just finished putting plexiglass on my screen door so we can leave it open with the heat or A/C on. It is removeable for the nice days.

Then i need to get a sliding/swivel TV mount for our new/old 32" TV for the Ent. Center (we bought a new 42" LED for the house and are putting the Old 32" in the trailer.

Then i will be getting a 50-30A adapter and a 30-20/15A adapter. I may even put a dedicated 15A outlet on the awning side under the trailer for my outdoor fridge and anything else with heavy amperage usage, electric skillet and such.

I am also looking at getting a new antenna. My old one doesn't bring in the stations like it used too. Looking at the Jack antenna system.

Then tires for the X and trailer before out Myrtle Beach trip in July!

For me:

Oil changes for main engine and generator

Clean-up of minor dings and scrapes

Get generator running again

Wash & wax, then advertise it for sale.

SKnight...it's not about being a neat freak at all. It's about being able to spend more time relaxing and enjoying camping. The neater you are, the less time it takes to set up and break down camp...and the more time you have enjoy life.

Ya'll just bummed me out. I knew I had things I needed / wanted to do, but I was really just hoping to get in and go. The current plan is to camp 2nd weekend in March (weather permitting), I'll probably pull the TT along the garage a couple days early to go through some great ideas and reminders that have been posted here. Probably do the rest when we get back that weekend. Looking so forward to another great season!
