I'm a real lightfoot and enjoy getting good MPG because I'm paying for it.

We went to the ocean from Seattle (120 miles one way) with about an 11,000 lb Silverback 5th wheel on the back of our new Ford F250 diesel truck. Got 12.5 MPG going there and 11.5 on the way back. I never did over 60 MPH.

Father in law get about the same towing with his duramax. Tows about 9500lbs. But he does get 22 or so unhooked. I get 10.0 mpg with half ton tundra 5.7L towing 8500lbs. Seems like you're in the groove.

Dragging a 12K loaded 5'ver...10.5-11 depending on terrain, not bad for a 7K lb crewcab

If I dare to run 60mph on the interstate with nothing in tow...21.5mpg's
I mostly run 70mph unloaded though, so I deal with 19mpg's...again, don't mind a bit riding in the DMAX ))

On the flat lands of Iowa i get 8.5 to 9 mpg with our sunseeker the best tank so far has been 9.5 when there was no wind. I don't think it gets much better than that with the ford v10.

2004 Nissan 5.6L v8 with 3.73 gears pulling 7200 lb Wildwood, I get 6.5 to 7 mpg with no or slight wind. I wish it could be more. But no Trk payments.

I don't feel so bad now. I'm pulling about 4300 lbs. with a 4.2L I-6 with 3.42's and got 10.2 last week. Trailer / vehicle size being fairly proportional, it looks like that's about right.

Ummm. 13K lb fiver pulled with 05 F250 CC 4x4 V10 - 7 mpg if I don't get in a realistically, 6 but who's counting. I know I haven't since our first trip. It just doesn't matter.

Better than me with a 2007 and 9200 lbs in tow. I am right at 10 from Denver to Bronson and back... Probable pull right at 65-68mph.
