For wheel chocks DH and I use the solid rubber ones from Harbor Freight. They have teeth molded in to the bottom of them which works great on dirt or pavement for gripping.

For stabilization we use X-Chocks between the wheels. (Those are not sold as "chocks" per se.)

I like the RotoChocks- they chock and stabilize.

RotoChoks are the best made but they cost.

We use X-Chocks. They'll fit between tires where the axles are closer together than some models.

I use the X-Chocks, but do not use chocks when they are installed. How many use chocks along with their X-Chocks?

NOPE, No need for anything else. First thing on when I stop and last thing off.

I use four of these, I do not at this point see the need for the x's, perhaps I may change my mind later.

If you tried x's and saw the difference they made you probably would change your mind.

I use both. Regular chocks when setting up, first thing down last thing off. Once I am exactly where I want to be level wise I put on the x chocks. If there is a lot of moving up or down in the nose of the trailer the axels may flex a very small amount and I see no need to put any stress any where no matter how small it is. The two together give me piece of mind and I don't mind the little extra set up time, it's my unwind time as the wife usually takes the kids to the playground while I set up.

Bal X Chocks are installed before unhooking and the last thing done before leaving. Use them exclusively for doing the hitch pull to insure the hitch is latched.

They also help with the front to back motion of the trailer.

WE DO! The rubber chocks go in as soon as the unit is in place. Then the X chocks go on before we disconnect the 5th wheel hitch.

When we had the V-Lite bumper pull, putting the X chocks on before we disconnected from the TV the unhitching dang near impossible...the X chocks didn't allow for enough play/movement.

Those are identical to the ones I described, except ours don't have a rope on them...just a rubber handle molded into the body.
