When are new year models released

So I have been interested in buying a pop up Rockwood HW 276. My question for the board is: Do you know when the 2014 models are available?

I have never owned a trailer or RV and do not know when they consider the newer year models to come out. When buying a car, those come out usually in August of a previous year model (2014's come out in August 2013). In other words, is anything manufactured in 2013 considered a 2013 or is there a cut off date when it would be considered a 2014? Is it anything manufactured in a year considered the model of the year it was manufactured only?

Any help that could be provided would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Most manufacturers switch to the new model year in March...they've been producing 2014 models since March. It's not a case of lots of changes with the model year change...most are running changes throughout the model year with major changes sometimes happening in July.

We bought a new 2013 travel trailer in April, 2012. I would assume that you could buy a 2014 now.

Thanks for the responses.
The pop up camper we were looking at has a manufacture date of February 2013, dealer took delivery in March (I saw some paperwork indicating as such) and they are selling it as a 2104.

The VIN of the camper will tell you what year it is. The 10th number/letter in the VIN is for year. If it's a 2013 the 10th will be a letter D...2014 will be a E.

Hi,
You could have the dealer order one new from the factory. This will ensure you get all the latest updates. It will usually take 6-8 weeks from order to build and a bit more for delivery to your dealer. I just ordered a new Cedar Creek Cottage yesterday and it has several updates from the model that has been on the lot since April. Hope this helps you out.

Interesting thing is that I figured a model year would be set...but we have been looking to get an 8265 and the salesman said he just talked to the factory and they are changing one of the slides to make it bigger! Wonder if that is the case then some of the same model year will have the smaller slide and some will have a larger?

On the Cedar Creek Cottage I just ordered, the living area tv is now larger, leather is now standard, day/night shades have been changed to roller shades. Same model year just updates made thru out the year.
