We watched the baseball playoff game the other night, cooked supper outdoors, then had a cigar and a fire...it doesn't have to be loud.

This is not part of a camper, but one weekend a family invited all the surrounding sites to watch a movie on a projector and roll up screen they bought. We all grabbed chairs shared some snacks. It's was really nice and not disruptive at all. Bad picture but it was a 6 foot wide screen.

My outside TV has been used maybe a dozen times. Sometimes with family, sometimes just me watching some DVD's. And all 3 TV's are AC only.

Rather than paying $1,800 for an outside entertainment center, how about sitting a portable 12 Volt TV on the steps of a 30 inch wide door???

I'd like to figure out how to get the tv sound out to my outside speakers. We have just the Sony auto radio in our TH.

You can plug a cord in the headphone jack on the tv and run it to the aux. jack on the stereo.
We use to do that in our old camper for better sound watching movies.

We are fall campers, set a 32 inch tv outside to watch college football. On several occasions have had other campers join us, especially if I am running off the satellite. Have a 20 inch tv I hang on the BBQ mount on the outside when I am cooking or minding the BBQ grill take sits a few feet away from the rv.

We use ours all the time. Sometimes we watch DVDs when we are not connected to cable or out of wifi range. We respect our neighbors when we have them, but watching the tube outside is a real treat for us especially when we have guest for supper. Ours earns it's keep.

Ours is a Toy Hauler, I don't have an outside entertainment center but I let the garage door down and close the screen to keep bugs out and watch football. The garage door makes a deck and the couch lowers down from the ceiling then turn on the 32" in the garage. Cold beverage time!

Actually everyone, my point in asking this question as to "when" was concerning the problem of the outside TV being 120 volt and not having the battery power to watch it and a DVD or satellite receiver when boondocking in hot weather. But when you are plugged in at an RV park, you have all the power you need for it plus the A/C, so you would normally watch TV inside where it is cool. Therefore, how often is the outside TV going to come in handy given those conditions?

Given the responses, it seems there are a lot of people that actually prefer watching TV outside rather than in.
