Does your truck bed have a topper or tonneau cover? I've been toying around with a couple bike rack designs. Here is one I built for my fifth wheel. The mount idea was borrowed from another forum member, but the rack I designed.

Hey T, Do you have a long bed truck? How far do they stick out in front of the camper. I have been eyeing your rack for a few now!

EDIT: oops I see that you do. DUH!!

I tried the back of my camper but the bumper is not a good place due to the extremely LOW weight rating (spare only - and even then watch out).

I moved everything to the front of the truck by adding a front receiver.

I do have a long bed truck, but the rack comes no where near the cab of truck. I think it's about 19" from nose of camper. I will go out and measure it in a little bit, since I have parked here at the shop now

Is that a 2" receiver you mounted on your pinbox?

Here is what I did and with the bikes upright it gave enough room for other items in bed. Solved bike rack issue & saved $
