Where do you store WDH bars?

Been wondering where everyone stores their WDH components when TT is stored or when camping. I usually store everything in the front storage compartment of my TT.

I kept the long cardboard box that the bars were shipped in. They go in the bed of the truck while camping (I have a cover), and the corner of the garage when home.

When camping, I keep them in the bed of the truck (under cover), along with the hitch and sway bar, because I am in and out of the front storage area. When parked at home, I store everything in the front storage area.

Put our Trunnion Bars in a "Padded Shotgun Case" after we slide them in 2pc covers/bags the wife made out of "Levis Pants Legs" that keeps grease contained! The Gun case has handles so I can place it "Anywhere we want for Storage"! Youroo!!

In the front storage of the sunset trail along with the hitch assembly. Not sure what I'll do on the windjammer since it has no outside storage to speak of. I have locked them to the safety chains and left them outside before also.

When at home they go in the shop.

At home all is in the rear storage. Camping, hitch is on the ground under the trailer or in truck bed. Bars sit on the a frame between the trailer and propano tanks.

Kept the box

I kept the box that the WDH bars came in so I keep them in the front storage compartment year-round. I'll have to come up with something different if/when the box is no longer usable.

I made a toolbox like out of 3\4" plywood...I put my stuff inside and locked in the bed of the truck (I have a cap on) and the head is locked on the receiver.

Mine are the variety with the chains on the end of the bars. Hopefully you can understand from the pic; the chains hook onto where they hook when deployed, the bar end is hung across the stab jack cross piece, and the tow safety chain is hung on the lift extension on the bracket. Then run a long shank padlock thru the chains to keep the honest people from "borrowing" them. When I'm home, I don't use the lock because the TT is stored in a locked building.

I have the Equalizer hitch. I keep the bars stored in an old camping chair bag under the back seat in the truck while camping. The hitch stays in the receiver with a lock pin. At home, everything is stored in the garage.

Wish I could do that but I've got twin 90ah deep cycle batteries up front which take up all that space.

I really like the idea of storing the bars in a shotgun case. Boy that would make people think at the campground when you are hooking up LOL. I usually keep mine in the front storage compartment. The hitch stays in the receiver with a locking hitch pin

One good whack of your ankle on the hitch and you too will store it elsewhere.

WD Storage

I measured my length and went to Walmart and bought a cheap rifle vinyl zipper case. Store in trailer in storage and the back of the truck while camping.

We leave ours on all the time. It is just to heavy to take on and off. Our TV is not a daily driver, so there it stays.

The bars goes in the back of the truck when camping and in the front compartment when the trailer is not in use.

On my '14 Flagstaff 27BESS I attached brackets to the aluminum supports in the ceiling of my front storage pass-thru. When not in use, I slid the bars in the brackets. Easy-peasy.
Now, for the hitch head, I had my friendly wielder attach a 2" receiver to the front of the tt at the curbside frame......
