I think I will throw $13 at one of these, and see how it goes!

These are what I purchased and I am very satisfied with them.

Good info. Making the same list was on my to-do list.

One less thing to do.

I think you have a different model fridge than "most" of us have. You're only the 2nd person I know of that's mentioned a different heat strip connection. What model do you have?

They have double sided tape on the back of the board which sticks to the flat surface on the inside of the fixture really well. Have had these installed for two years now without a problem.

Took some more readings today.

Digital auto search signal Booster, TV attached................0.25 amps
21" SkyWorth 12 volt TV..............................................1. 65 amps
12 volt computer speakers plugged in headphone jack.......0.1 amps
(Much Better Sound)
Judging by the rating on the Optmia deep cycle battery label, I should be able to run the TV, and speakers for 24 hours without knocking it completely flat. I think the SkyWorth is rated to operate as low as 11 volts...... maybe a little lower.

Owners manual for the series 7 shows the door heater in parallel with the interior light and light switch, so it seems that the "fix" should be the same, unless the place where the two circuits tie together is not inside the interior light like it is in the DM2652-style fridges.
