Any future mods you want to do to your camping unt? What future trips are you planning? Any good campground reviews?

I think this is generally the off season for most people. The holidays are approaching so not much is going on in the camping scene. Lots of people are preparing for their holiday celebrations whatever they may be.
Once January hits though, and the holidays are history, and cabin fever has really set in, there will be much more activity on the forum. Nothing else will be going on. The cold winter days of January and February will be long and people will be using this and other forums to get some sort of camping "fix" until they can hit the road again. The annual RV shows will also start up throughout the country and that will get people thinking about either a new RV or planning the new year's trips or just to help get through the winter.

Ya, but I need my fix now . It's 2 F here right now and we have a heavy snow fall warning and winter storm advisory out. Mikey went camping this weekend, hopefully he has some pics or good stories .
Cheers
Bear

Sorry folks, with the camping season wide-open down here, we barely have time to post.
What's cabin fever? ....LOL
Just returned from a four day/three night Thanksgiving weekend trip. The weather was the best it's been all year. And I have to say, we had a great time. We had four campers with 11 people and had 7 more friends who were staying in rental cabins join us Fri night for good old Louisiana Gumbo.
Look HERE at a few of our pics.
Later guys, I've got to get packin' for our next trip!!!

Rub it in Mike, rub it in. Although this past week the temps here in Va. have been quite mild for November, mid 60's. That won't last long. Snow in the forecast by next weekend.

gate33,
We had a great trip. Temps today are 62F. It was 56F this morning and should be 77F afternoon.
Most photo were taken early morning. It is the hight of Deer season and lots of folks this weekend were in the stand until noon or so.
Usually, like us, most will gather at one persons camper for drinks and meals. I didn't load all of the photos I took. I could have taken more shot in the afternoon. Most of the times we've been there, the streets were filled with people walking and kids riding bikes.

Well Bear I think you know where I have been. but for the rest of the members.
About 5 years ago I opened www.harleydavidsonbikers.com and met many GREAT people and had a GREAT site and in 2005 We had a database crash and I let some fool talk me into going in partners on a new site. Well a few weeks ago the KAKA hit the rotating oscilator and I have been getting HDB back up and running with the help of many GREAT friends. This past weekend We went to the lake and chilled and I will be back around here more now as all is stable at the new harleydavidsonbikers.com
Thanks to all for the support during my mia
Mike

Sorry, I was off camping!
Just got back from St. Augustine. Getting to be the nice time of year to camp here (again, sorry!). Temps were in the low 70s during the day, 50s at night, perfect. Temps now back up to low 80s here.
I posted details & pics of the CG here: http://www.2manytoyz.com/staug.html
Got another trip scheduled to Ft. Clinch the week after Christmas, and other trip to St. Augustine (different CG) with two other families in Feb.
Mods to the camper, backup camera, and XM radio install, in work...

Working...holidays...dreaming of spring
That's where this Minnesotan has been.
Damn snow and cold! I haven't done any cold-weather mods so I really can't do much in the wintertime.
Planning a July trip to the Rockies though!
edited for crappy spelling

Hey WWTT29FKSS, I'm in MN too and know what you mean about the cold and snow...
Kind of ridiculous, but I was going thru too much propane attempting to keep the 'new' TT at a workable temp.
Was pulled away lately due to work and other items...
Mods started or on the list before the season arrives:
- bank of rechargeable flashlights
- add 12v outlet(s)
- storage space increases
- Step and interior 'nav' lights (all LED, and remote controlled too... I hope)
- custom bunk ladder
- not really a mod, but I need to build some chocks and levelers
- many other minor 'improvements'

Hey Bear, I used to live in Alaska, and when my father relocated back in `79, the Alcan highway was all dirt roads
Fondest (or not so fond) memory of that trip was helping Dad change the inside dual somewhere in Montana, in 40 below weather, on the side of the road with a several hundred foot drop about 3 feet away.
We made sure we didn't lose any lug nuts!

I lived in Fort St John from 1969 untill 1993. I have fond?? memories of the Alaska Highway as a dirt/mud road. It sure is better now

Well, in my neck of the woods, the only thoughts about my trailer is whether the wind of the last nor'easter was strong enough to sweep the snow off the roof!. But yeah, the ol' bug is biting bad. REALLY looking forward to May. And to all the dear friends above who asked "What snow?" and were kind enough to share their current temps.... I'd tell you what I think, but my fingers are freezing! heehee
On the plus side, our cushions will look new YEARS longer with our camping season.
