Our favorite place is San Diego Metro KOA Campground in Chula Vista. The park is absolutely wonderful and it's just a short drive to Downtown Gas Light District, Petco Stadium, QualCom Stadium, and all the beaches. Just 8 miles north of the Mexican border and you can take a bus tour into Mexico, shop, eat and return. Mexico might not be a good idea right now though. Lots to do. We usually stay a week each summer. They have about 190 spaces with full hook ups, 30/50 amps, pull thru and back in, lots of trees and grass at each spot and a nice pool area. The price is a little more expensive, around $61.00-$74.00 a night during the summer, but still not bad for the San Diego area. Here is a link to pics of the campground: Come and visit the Southern California west coast.

Our favorite place to camp is in the Rocky Mountains. We often go to the Crowsnest Pass in Southern Alberta to a random camping area (free camping) where we can quad from. Our first trip is scheduled around the 25th of May untill the 5th of June or so, between drag races and the snow should be gone below 6500 ft.

Favorite camping places

Both are on Lake Ontario in NY State.
Brennan Beach Camping Resort is on the east end of the lake. 2000 sites, 3 pools, 3000 feet of beach with sand and concrete walkway. Close to 1000 islands attractions. Good lake fishing for bass and salmon, fantastic sunsets.

Golden Hill State park on the west south west shore. Quiet, serene, short distance to Niagara Falls (about 1/2 hour), good sunsets here also.

Depends on what we are looking for, for full time action and the ocean we go to Frontier Town in Ocean City MD, for peace and quite we go to The Hershey Preserves, for all kinds of shopping we go to Old Mill Stream in Lancaster PA, I like the Rail Road Museum and the campground is set up so that you have to parallel park you camper, and fun and adventure we go to Fort Wilderness in Disney World. We would love to go out West, form some of the pic that the members have posted it looks breath taking.

One of the best parks I have stayed in was in Pahrump, NV. It is know as The Nevada Treasure". It is close to Vegas, Death Valley, many ghost towns and old mines. The mountains are great for hiking. The park has over 100 sites with full hookups. A swimming pool with a waterfall, a bowling ally, restaurant and lounge, convention center, all on site. The people that run the park are friendly and helpful and the rates are very reasonable.
